Organise your sheet music library

If you have lots of music for your choir or orchestra, you will know how important it is to make sure that it is properly organised, and that you can lay your hands on it quickly. Traditional methods of paper records, or even spreadsheets, can rapidly become disorganised, may be lost or destroyed, and are difficult to keep up to date.
The solution? music-library.co.uk
With music-library.co.uk:
Keep your library up-to-date:

Easily add new music. Enter music details, including title, composer and location. Copy details from other groups for the same item.

Find your music quickly:

Speedy searching tool shows where your music is located, even as you are typing.

Plan your performance repertoire:

Search for music with specific features (for example, find music for SATB with more than 20 copies in the library).

Control your library on-the-go:

Your library is viewable on mobile devices as well as computer screens.

Safely store your library:

The data is stored securely with daily remote backups, so chance of data loss is remote.

Make notes:

Annotate items in your library.

Make it your own:

You can customise the library to keep a record of things that you find useful. Up to two user-defined fields are available.

Collaborate:

Multiple users can have access to your library with different privileges. For example, the music director and librarian could have full access, and others in your group might have read-only access.

Help others:

To save you time and effort when entering items, the system will suggest titles, authors and publishers that have been entered by other groups. You contribute to this when entering your own music information.

Without music-library.co.uk:
You risk losing your library:

It is very easy to mislay paper documents, and probably even easier to suffer computer file loss. If you have ever had a hard disc fail, you will know the anguish that this can cause if you have not backed up your data safely and recently.

You can't collaborate easily:

Your group members may have copies of the library spreadsheet, but are their copies the most recent versions? Are you all singing from the same hymn sheet?!

Difficult to search and plan:

You need to be a spreadsheet maestro to perform searches with multiple fields. On paper, don't even think about it!

Queries:
How much does it cost?

We understand that music organisations do not have lots of spare cash, so we price the system fairly, and based on the size of your library. We charge a small annual fee for as long as you keep the library going.

I already have a spreadsheet of our library - can it be used to populate the library?

There is a simple facility for uploading a spreadsheet, as long as it is in the correct format.

I am not really very computer-literate. Can you help me to get going?

We can help you get started - for a small additional fee, we can help you to upload any existing electronic records that you may have.

It sounds good! Can I try it out before I buy it?

Of course! You can upload a small number of items of music for free. When you are ready, you can very quickly upgrade to a full version.

What if I decide in the future that I don't want to continue with it - will I lose all the data I entered?

You can download a spreadsheet of your library at any time! If you decide to return to us in the future, you can use this spreadsheet to quiickly restore your library.
